This year, I’m bringing an exciting new twist to my career with Toronto FC. I’m turning my love of the beautiful game into a chance to support kids affected by 22 years of war in northern Uganda. Here’s how:

Every time I score for the Reds (go Reds!) I’ll donate $500, plus every we win I’ll kick-in another $100, with all of it going to Athletes for Africa and their initiative Football for Good.

Football for Good provides academy football, opportunity, community and peace to regions that have been ravaged by war. Through Football for Good, youth in war-torn countries like Uganda are given the chance, for the first time, to professionally develop their football (soccer) skills and to gain important educational and leadership opportunities, supporting their personal lives and leaving a legacy for the entire community.

I’m so excited for this opportunity to use soccer to affect real change for kids whose lives have been forever scarred by war.
