Whether with family, friends, or solo, for work, pleasure, or a challenge, I have been drawn to exciting new countries across the globe. No matter what the reason for travel has been, I have seen plainly the importance of being aware of the very changeable circumstances of those in need.

So when my friend Nathan told me he had the itch to embark on an adventure, we decided to make it a challenge - we decided to bike far as Athletes for Africa. This organization strives tirelessly to empower communities and youth in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Sudan and Uganda.

Thanks to all of the support and advice from Cliff at The Hub Bicycle Shop, our journey starts on March 3rd when we will begin our 5000 km bike ride from California to Florida. Our goal is to raise one dollar for each kilometer we cover. Sponsor us for any distance you choose and help us reach our $5000.00 goal to support war-affected youth in East Africa.
